I’M GOTTEN! lol (although that doesn’t make much grammatical sense, or does it just sound weird because it’s an unfamiliar phrase?) Haha
Wouldn’t it be darling if someone gifted you with a piece of art? – A masterpiece of an exquisite painting, a sculpture, a picture or something they created like a song or a dance (lol.) Receiving something of this sort would mean that the person who gave it to you knew that it would magically strike the perfect tune in your heart. To know that someone can find that tune and recognize it enough to where they can create or present to you something so appreciated, special and unique, makes the gift more valuable. It’s like they can hear you singing in a soprano note and harmonize the perfect alto note, making a beautiful harmony.
Most people don’t purchase or create gifts like this, commonly, everything is so materialistic. And due to the trend of it all, nothing more is even expected. We all have several relationships going on, with family members, partners, friends and even casual ones with our associates. Just imagine if you took the effort to explore the type of tone your friend sang in his/her life – in their decision making, experiences, hobbies, characteristics and habits. You could in fact come upon the perfect gift for them. It would be an unexpected gift, them not understanding how you get them at all (because face it, that’s not a significant factor in creating relationships anymore and who even cares, right?), but it would bring the brightest smile to their heart and mine as well just thinking about the cause and effect of it all! 🙂
Art is powerful and there is no specific reason I chose to talk about this in my post today other than the desire for my own personal heart to smile unexpectedly. Lol, who wouldn’t?

It’s kind of funny how we all mature. I say that because within the past 4 years of my life I have been writing a book and each time I read over past chapters, Im so surprised of my way of thinking. I wouldn’t say I completely disagree with the Courtney of 2012 or the Courtney from the summer of 2010, but its just surprising and interesting to see how I thought and what was most important to me. As I mature, I can respect some of Courtney’s view points of life, I take them with me to 2014 and sharpen them along the way. Enjoy these few exerts…
